Supporting the Tritons

01

Show up — it's free

Eckerd events are free and ten minutes from most of south Pinellas. A hundred extra people in the stands is a big deal at this level.

02

Watch a regatta

Sailing races run right off campus. Bring a chair and binoculars — it's the most Pinellas way to watch college sports.

03

Host and hire

Local businesses can offer student-athlete discounts, internships and summer work. That's the support that lasts past graduation.

What they're known for

  • Nationally ranked collegiate sailing program racing on Boca Ciega Bay
  • The only NCAA program based in Pinellas County
  • Sunshine State Conference competition against Tampa, Rollins and Nova
  • Small rosters mean local fans actually get to know the athletes

For parents & families

  • Ten to twenty-five minutes from anywhere in south and mid Pinellas — no bridge required.
  • Free parking and free admission at nearly every regular-season event.
  • Bring folding chairs, sunscreen and water; most venues are open-air with little shade.
  • Waterfront campus makes a great family afternoon — get there early and walk the bayfront.
