Before the gates
Tailgating Blue Jays
Dunedin is the most low-key tailgate in the bay — spring training crowds set up in the small lots and side streets around TD Ballpark and walk to downtown after.
TD Ballpark lots
Tight but walkable. Get there early in March or you're parking blocks away.
Douglas Ave side streets
Free street parking with room for chairs behind the car. Locals' move.
Downtown Dunedin
Skip the grill entirely — the Pinellas Trail block of breweries is a five-minute walk from the gate.
What to bring
- Sunscreen — March sun in an open ballpark is deceptive
- Folding chairs; the lot has no seating
- Cash for the small nearby lots
- A backpack-sized cooler for the walk
- Bike lock if you ride in on the Pinellas Trail
Lot rules
- No grilling in the residential streets — neighbors will call it in
- Respect driveways and no-parking signs on Douglas
- Alcohol stays inside your vehicle area, not on public sidewalk
- Spring training lots fill 2 hours before first pitch
- Standard clear-bag policy at the gate
